Squamish Search and Rescue – Secure Your Gear!

In 2021, Squamish Search and Rescue Team responded to an all-time record of calls, making them the second busiest SAR team in Canada. Now they are fundraising to continue their incredibly important lifesaving work.

Meet the team. From the left to right: Kathy Wolfe, Sophie Demers, Malcolm Schulz, Andy Anissimoff (artist), Gerald Wolfe, Raz Peel and Aida Tribinevicius.

In an effort to help their fundraising efforts, we teamed up with Andy Anissinoff. Having settled in Squamish to pursue a life in the mountains and been voted four-time “Best Local Artist”, Andy was deemed the perfect fit. His print - an abstract representation of the area’s iconic landmarks and obstacles that the team may face on any given day - is the face of our SAR Giveback program.

As part of our SAR Give Back Program and in recognition of the team's hard work and dedication, 10% of the proceeds from the t-shirt will go to Squamish Search & Rescue.

Few places can match the natural beauty of Squamish. Packed with over 300 climbing routes, endless mountain and hiking trails as well as the iconic monolith, Strawamus Chief, Squamish Search and  Rescue provide a safety net for adventurers from around the world.

There are times when we are about to go out and do something as a family, but a call comes in and one of us has to respond.

From missing hikers to injured climbers, the 50-strong volunteer-based team is on standby 24/7, often juggling full-time work and sacrificing time with their loved ones, to bring someone else’s loved one home.
